Call for papers
2008 Issue

TROPOS, the Graduate Student Journal of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese and the Department of French, Classics and Italian at Michigan State University, invites submission for its 34rd issue (Spring 2008).TROPOS welcomes material relevant to any aspect of Romance languages, literatures and cultures (Linguistics, Luso-Brazilian studies, Film Studies, Border Literatures, Francophone Studies, Postcolonial Studies). Interdisciplinary work relevant to Spanish, French, and Portuguese will also be taken into consideration, as well as creative writing in these languages.

  • Limit papers to 18 pages (including endnotes, graphics and works cited).
  • Papers must follow the MLA Handbook in detail. Linguistics papers based on human subject research should get approval from the IRB first. Linguistics papers without the IRB approval will NOT be considered.
  • Creative writing limited to 8 pages.
  • Do not write author's name on manuscripts.
